About Us

Outdoor seating area with umbrellas and a view of the lodge. — Greensboro Elks Lodge
Outdoor seating area with umbrellas and a view of the lodge.

Rated among the best Elks lodges by a member who has visited 105 lodges across the country, Greensboro Elks Lodge 602 earns that distinction every single day. From the moment you walk through the doors at 2201 W Cornwallis Drive, you feel the difference between a club that merely exists and one that genuinely thrives.

Downstairs, the lodge bar draws members and guests who keep coming back for cold drinks, honest food, and the kind of easy conversation that only happens when everyone in the room already feels at home. The staff here are known by name, not by shift, and that consistency shows in every interaction. The pool facility is modern and well-kept, the grill crew accommodates without complaint, and the atmosphere is the rare kind that actually slows you down in a good way.

Beyond the social floor, Lodge 602 carries on the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks mission of community service, charitable giving, and support for veterans throughout the Greensboro area. Brotherhood is not a slogan here. It is the reason members drive across town on a Tuesday night.

What We Offer

Lodge 602 offers its members a full social experience anchored by the downstairs bar and lounge, where the drinks are poured right and the company is even better. Grab a seat, order from the grill, and let an evening unfold the way evenings should.

The pool facility gives members a modern recreational outlet that few private clubs in Greensboro can match. Organized lodge events, charitable fundraisers, and community programs run throughout the year, giving every member a reason to stay engaged beyond the bar stool.

Membership also connects you to the broader BPOE national network, opening doors at lodges in every state, including those other 104 lodges that still do not quite measure up to this one. Whether you are a lifelong Elk or exploring membership for the first time, Lodge 602 is the place to start.

"I am not currently a member but am thinking about becoming one. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. This is a great place to be able to rent out for meetings, events, and weddings. They also have a pool, and you can become a member if you can get a member to recommend you or sponsor you. I plan on becoming a member at some point. I would recommend coming to the Elks and see if it's something that you and your family would want to be a part of."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
